How Can I Help?
Your health and wellbeing program will be designed and delivered through 121 coaching programs. You will have the opportunity to explore 5 main pillars of health: Nutrition, Sleep, movement and exercise, stress management and spiritual and community connections. This can be done with or without using firstbeat technology.
Each programme will start with a 90-minute session where you will explore and create your vision of health, establish some realistic goals and move step by step towards your goals and make your dreams a reality. Each of us are unique and have different lives with different challenges. Below are some areas where I commonly help people make changes. There are no restrictions or limits on how health coaching can help you make changes for the better.

How I Work
Philosophy of Health Coaching
Life can be complicated. We live in a society where there is a lot of advice, a lot of information about what we should be doing and how we should be living our lives. Do you ever get fed up with hearing about what and how you should be living your life? Wandering why the ‘solutions’ rarely work long term? Tired of making resolutions to live a better, healthier life only to find yourself 48hours later resorting to old habits?
Health Coaching at smjwellbeing was founded out of my frustrations with the above! For years I have tried to live a healthy, happy life but found it to be quite frankly…. Exhausting! I would feel for every step I took forward; I would take 2 steps back. I found as a nurse, working with those facing some serious long term health challenges, all I could offer was advice and had to sit by and witness their struggles as they tried to turn their life around. The power of health coaching has helped me change things not only for myself but for those I work with. I can honestly say, I haven’t looked back!
Health coaching at smjwellbeing is centred around the principles of functional medicine and is centred on you as a person rather than a collection of symptoms. A personalised approach takes you into a deeper dive into your health and how your lifestyle and environment are contributing to how you feel. It’s a partnership where I work with you to create your vision of health, establish some realistic goals, and make small, sustainable, meaningful changes. It is not about ‘bucket loads’ of motivation and willpower but done through a process of understanding the challenges you face, reducing your limiting beliefs and then taking those small steps that tap into your strengths, align them to who you are and your core values.
These small changes stack up into substantial changes without ‘bucketloads’ willpower or being ‘good’. This results in success because we finally take action that feels good, rather than just what we think we should do!

About Me
My Story
My own story starts as they all do with an interest in my own health and what it means to be healthy.
I have worked as a practice nurse in primary care for over 15 years. Helping those who are trying to manage their weight, reduce their cholesterol and blood pressure as well as those who are trying to make sense of conditions such as type 2 diabetes.
My experience and expertise provide solid foundations upon which smjwellbeing was founded as I aim to help others facing

It’s an ongoing process. I have tried many a journey myself, some successful, some not. With the right tools, skills, and information, it is possible to find that balance and discover what being healthy means to you. As a health Coach and a nurse, I can meet you where you are at and help you find some real-life solutions to some of the challenges you face.
There are packages over 3-6 months that give you the opportunity to explore, reset and rejuvenate your health.
Each session will be all about you. Your journey will start with an 90min session we explore where you are, what healthy looks like for you and start planning your journey towards your goals and aspirations. Each session after that will form part of your journey where I will help and support you make decisions that take you closer to your goals. I will help you commit to the process.
Single sessions that allow you to make sense of your health challenges you are facing.
Regular check in for you can set you intentions for the month ahead.
Together we will find a strategy that works for you, and you will not only have personalised set of goals but the ability to navigate the challenges you face with a set of tools and skills for staying up to date with evidence-based approach to health.
